The Hero of an action movie series is not so much a Hero off-screen.

Our Pitch
Chain Thompson is a billionaire superstar, A-list actor, and the heroic face of the biggest blockbusters of the past 3 years. And yet, our hero finds himself wound up and drenched in the dark pit that stardom offers to the arrogant. Mr. Thompson needs only to do one thing to break free, humble himself and ask for help. However, when you’re so high up in the world, an act like that is barely an option; your calling is to maintain a facade of perfection, valiance, and family-friendliness. Chain Thompson, knowing what to do and failing to do it, pays the ultimate consequence for his actions.
A Deeper Call
In our present moments the Church is witnessing scandal after scandal among our Christian Heroes. Firebrand Magazine explains:
A Christian who lives a faithful life with no hint of scandal and preserves to the end is in fact a sign and wonder to the power of God in the midst of a perverse prevailing culture.
We need leaders who will live out holiness, faithfulness... Christ-likeness. Leaders who are, as Paul emphasizes, "...above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money," (1 Timothy 3:2-3).
Christianity Today puts it this way:
Most of us know the practices we should employ to keep ourselves from becoming another news headline: accountability, spiritual vitality, pursuit of holiness, regular confession. This is all good advice—essential, even.
This is what Hero is about. It is the tragic story of an action hero star failing to live out his off-screen life heroically. It is a tragedy meant to prick the hearts of leaders--from the leaders in the Church to the leaders of the home--and bring about honest confession and humility.
We believe there is no better time to tell this message than now.

Funding filmmaking.
If Hollywood shows us anything, it's that films take a lot of time, a lot of people, and a lot of money. Our short film, though on a smaller scale, is no different.
If you believe in the message of Hero for the Church and its leaders, or simply want to support this initiative, please consider donating. If you cannot, please pray for this production and that God may use it.
With your help, we can produce a film that may just awaken the wider Church to confession and humility, not only among leadership but all disciples of Jesus.

I am a senior film student with an emphasis in directing. I have worked as an editor for almost a year now and I am excited to be directing more.
